The Devil's Tongue (aka Bresciano 5) is now complete. The first draft now has to be scanned for typos, misspellings and and gross errors of fact and logic (and experience tells us that there will be many of all of these!) We can only hope that most of them (it's never all) will be picked up and corrected before we go to press. We also have to decide on a cover illustration.
By the way, there is a review of The Prince's Lady at http://historicalnovelsociety.org/ , and also one of Mary's solo novel Mosaic of an Unquiet Time.

The Prince's Lady was launched on the 6th November, at the Gibraltar Garrison Library. There was a good turnout in spite of really foul weather to hear the Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, launch the newest episode in the Bresciano saga.
The book is now on sale in bookshops in Gibraltar and the Costa, at £9.99.
Work will now resume on the next book, The Devil's Tongue, which is set wholly in Gibraltar this time. The date is 1793, and an unwelcome acquaintance from the past turns up on Bresciano's doorstep...

The Prince's Lady

The fourth book in the Bresciano mysteries is now with the printers. Launch date is November 6th, at the Gibraltar Garrison Library.

Entitled The Prince's Lady, it is set in Gibraltar and nearby Spain. Several old characters return, and new characters include Prince Edward, fourth son of George III, and his beautiful mistress, Julie, Baronne de Fortisson.
Governor O'Hara has a problem: The Prince's mistress has disappeared from the house which Prince Edward had rented for her in Spain, and the Prince wants him to send a search party. The Governor has no intention of complying - so he sends Giovanni Bresciano instead.
